TONIGHT IS MEAL NIGHT @ AP2T
The 3rd Wednesday night of each month at aplacetotalk is meal night. We eat together and laugh with no agenda. I hope you can join us. We usually start eating around 6:00, but come when you can… and bring anything to share. If you don’t have anything to bring, come on anyway… I’m sure we’ll have plenty.
New Series Starting April 15th, 2012 – The Jesus Lens
During this series we will be talking about reading the Bible through the lens, of our understanding of Jesus Christ.
I believe Jesus isn’t just like God, but He is God. The exact representation of God on earth. If this is true, then I along with all those scribes and pharisees who crucified Jesus must have read the Old Testament wrong. See the God that I thought I was reading about in the Old Testament, seems very different from the Jesus I read about in the gospels, but the Bible tells me that they are the same… if they are the same, then I am going to have to use my understanding of Jesus (I can do that because He now dwells in me) to re-read the Bible. As I read the Bible through the lens of Jesus… I think I’ll see a very different book.
What will Easter Sunday be like at aplacetotalk?
Easter Sunday, 2012 – April 8th will be much like other days at aplacetotalk. We’d love to have you visit with us, but we don’t really design our Sundays around impressing visitors. Not that we are above trying to impress we’re certainly not, truth is we’re just not good at it. I can’t say enough how much I’d love to meet you and get to know you, so please don’t take our lack of door greeters with fancy visitor packets as a lack of love. We welcome you and look forward to meeting you, we just don’t think Wal-Mart style door greeters will prove it if it isn’t true. No disrespect to other churches who do that kind of thing, it just doesn’t fit who we are.
That first paragraph may confuse you into thinking we are the cool and hip church, assuming we’re all too cool to be greeters.. I wish. But unfortunately that’s not the case either, we’re more Big Bang Theory without the doctorate degrees than Mad Men if you watch either of those shows.

So what will Easter Sunday be like at aplacetotalk. I would like to say it will be a normal ap2t Sunday, but it will be a little bit different. So normal in practice, different only in schedule. Instead of having two services like we usually do on Sundays (one at 9:00am, and another at 10:45, with breakfast in between), we’ll all combine for one worship service.
9:00am - Breakfast Feast (This will be a combination pot luck breakfast and some food cooked here at aplacetotalk, by the wonderful amazing team of Norma, Jeff, Alisa, Joyce, etc!. Sunday breakfast is one of my favorite times of the week. Bring anything you’d like to share. We may not have greeters, but we’ve got great livermush! 
10:00am - Musical Service (We hope the signing time gives everyone an opportunity to worship as they choose)
- After the music we’ll have an interactive fun game, for children and adults (some will participate, others will enjoy watching)
- Finally we’ll have a discussion about Jesus, relationships, and real life
